Last week, I was interviewed by Jessica Williams of Love Parenting about healthy attachment as kids move beyond the baby stage, and how empathy keeps us close to our child, even as we're setting limits. This interview was the launch of an extensive project that Jessica is calling The Ultimate Parenting Course.
Jessica has put together a home study program for parents of children from birth to seven years, compiling the science, research, insight and experience of MDs, PhDs, psychotherapists, educators and best-selling authors. The experts, who were specifically selected for their commitment to conscious, evolved, informed and respectful parenting, include:
Christine Carter, PhD (Raising Happiness); Kim John Payne, M.Ed (Simplicity Parenting); Betsy Brown Braun, MA (Just Tell Me What to Say); Elizabeth Pantley (No-Cry Sleep Solution); Catherine McCord (www.weelicious.com); Shajan Joy Aziz, M.Ed (Discover the Gift); Dr. Jay Gordon, MD; FAAP, IBCLC; Dr. Laura Markham, PhD (www.AhaParenting.com); Dr. Linda Folden Palmer, DC (The Baby Bond); Dr. Jennifer Karon Flores DNM; Nathalie Kunin, M.Ed; Sheryl Paul, MA; Catherine DeMonte, MA, LMFT; Carrie Dinow, MA, LMFT; Victoria Melgard, MA; Hala Khouri, MA; Veronika Sophia Robinson (editor in-chief of The Mother Magazine); Bill Stierle; Jessica Williams (creator of Ultimate Parenting Course)
I don't have experience with all of these experts, but the ones I do know I hold in high esteem, so I want to let you know about this course in case it seems like something that would support you in your parenting. I greatly enjoyed my video interview and my teleseminar call with Jessica Williams (both of which are included in the course), and felt we covered some essential ground in how to raise terrific kids. Throughout, I was impressed with Jessica's insights into parenting.
The Ultimate Parenting Course contains 8 videos with a compilation of expert interviews covering 8 essential parenting themes, including:
1. PARENT IDENTITY: integration, intention, and awareness
2. SLEEP: nighttime sleeping, bedtime routines, naps, and more
