This worked well for my first two children which were girls but not on my last child which is my son. I am a father and let me tell you, my son needed more attention, time away from the situation that was to start, as well as explanation. I sometimes had to combo this with "time outs".
Again, great article but not the answer to all our worries of disciplining our children.
